Sophia is a third-year doctoral student in West Chester University’s Clinical Psychology program. Sophia has experience working in community mental health, providing individual psychotherapy to clients with various identities and presenting concerns. She feels passionately that mental healthcare is as important as physical healthcare since the integration of these two areas lends greatly to overall wellness. Some of Sophia’s clinical interests are anxiety, disordered eating, and self-esteem. She incorporates various treatment approaches when working with clients such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). When not in the classroom or clinic, Sophia enjoys spending time at the beach with family, reading fiction novels, and trying new restaurants.
