What do you love most about Ursinus?

After 17 years, swimming is not only a sport but a huge part of my life. It was the one constant that truly brought me happiness everyday. Going to college and being able to continue swimming has always been the goal, I wanted to be in charge of my own path and bring my identity to a place that would support and accept me. The love I have for this sport is nothing compared to how I feel for my teammates and coaches. I am forever thankful I found this school and was able to continue swimming while also finding new things that I enjoy.

What opportunities have you had to explore and grow your passions at Ursinus?

As a transfer student last year, I truly had no idea I could get involved with different organizations on campus. Now going into my senior year, I have gotten involved in with so many groups that all share the same passions that I do and have been able to create so many different connections. There is a place for everyone on this campus that will help you dig deeper into your passions and find new ones.

When did you first discover Ursinus was the right fit for you?

From the classroom to the pool/fields/stage, Ursinus College demands greatness, and I want to be pushed to the peak of my potential academically and athletically. The students will be my forever family and the faculty never let us settle for less than our best. I want to continue to live by the lessons this institution teaches its students and hope to strive to be an example of what it means to be a member of this community.

What has been your favorite experience at Ursinus so far?

My favorite experience would have to be our mental health swim meet for The Hidden Opponent. This was an event that not only brought both teams together to have a great competition while celebrating something important, but also so many students and faculty came out to support. As a student athlete, I am super involved with mental health on our college campus so being able to see such a big turnout and how passionate my teammates were was a great experience.

Advice for incoming students:

As soon as you walk onto campus your Ursinus journey begins, and each day you can choose to step up and become the person you want to be. You are given opportunities at this school that other students would be lucky to have, make the most of them every day.
