What do you love most about Ursinus?
I love the opportunities to get involved on campus, my friendly and authentic peers, and the caring professors and staff.
What opportunities have you had to explore and grow your passions at Ursinus?
I have been able to get involved in all sorts of extracurriculars starting freshmen year and the professors themselves have even gone out of there way to help me chase my passions (this year a professor created a separate class so that I could take a course with them even though the time didn’t originally fit my schedule)! My wrestling coaches and teammates have also had an immense impact on my personal growth.
When did you first discover Ursinus was the right fit for you?
When I got to a point where I would say “hi” to or get a “hey Jocelyn!” from someone during most of my walks to and from classes, practice, and extracurriculars.
What has been your favorite experience at Ursinus so far?
Getting to know other students on campus as well as practicing and competing on the inaugural women’s wrestling team.
Advice for incoming students:
Ursinus offers lots of opportunities to get involved. Be sure to take advantage of those opportunities if they seem like something you may enjoy, but also be sure you are making time for yourself and not packing your day too tightly!
