What do you love most about Ursinus?

The best part about Ursinus is the community and how they foster an environment for growth. Your fellow students and the faculty are always helping you reach your full potential and to explore new opportunities. The tight-knit community Ursinus has will always be there to support you through it all.

What opportunities have you had to explore and grow your passions at Ursinus?

Ursinus has helped me explore my passions and generate new interests at the same time. It feels easy for me to be a double major and to really grow my passion for the environment and government because of the constant support I am receiving to make sure that I can do and achieve anything I want to. Additionally I was able to branch out and explore my interests with media and get an on-campus job helping out with that, which is something I never thought that I would be able to do.

When did you first discover Ursinus was the right fit for you?

Ursinus felt like the right place for me when I immediately felt like I was a part of the community when I was on my campus tour. Just by observing how people interacted with one another and how everyone could always recognize a familiar face, I knew I was at the right place. I wanted to be at a school where I felt like I could be myself and have people supporting me, and I knew Ursinus would be and is that place.

What has been your favorite experience at Ursinus so far?

I’ve had a lot of highlights but one of my favorite moments was during my freshman orientation where we had a bonfire, dance party, and food trucks. It was so much fun and I even taught President Hannigan the Cotton-Eyed Joe dance!

Advice for incoming students:

Be open to all opportunities that are presented to you. You never know if you like it if you don’t try it! Ursinus and college in general is a great place to try new things and foster a greater understanding of your interests. Keeping an open mindset will take you far!
