Joseph Pape

Hallo und Moin!

My name is Joseph, and I am the German Teaching Assistant at Ursinus College for the academic year 2023/24. I was born and raised in Berlin, the capital of Germany. After graduating high-school, I moved to the Hanseatic City of Bremen to study. I graduated the University of Bremen with a double major (Bachelor of Arts) in English-Speaking-Cultures and Geography, and a minor in education. Currently, I am enrolled in a graduate program (Master of Education) to become a teacher in secondary schools.

After spending my semester abroad at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in upstate New York in 2018, I knew that I wanted to come back to the United States as soon as possible. Therefore, I am very grateful to being granted the opportunity to return to the States as a Fulbright scholar, and engage in intercultural communication and relations while pursuing my passion for teaching.

I love to do sports, to learn new things, and to travel. So, I am looking forward to exploring different parts of the USA and engage with its people at Ursinus College and the rest of the country.
