It is great having a group of like-minded people who want to take time out of their busy schedules for the sole purpose of helping others.

Memorable Moment in Scholars in Service

The day that stood out to me the most was the first time I went to Chenoa Manor for a Saturday of Service event. I never considered working with animals as a form of service, but it very much is. Other than providing a safe place for these animals that had no where else to go, the sanctuary also serves as an educational center for youth! I know it benefits the community because every time I go there I feel like I have a large weight removed from my shoulders. The manor feels like its own world compared to the rest of life. Everyone who goes has agreed that it is extremely beneficial to their mental health whether they are there to learn or to volunteer.

Advice for Prospective Ursinus Service Leaders

Branch out and try different service sites, you never know what you may be passionate about.
