Most Memorable Moment in Class

My “aha” moment was when I could finally relate a book we read in class with one of the CIE questions. The Book of Job is tied to the CIE question “What does it mean to be human?” because when Job went through all the horrible circumstances in life he had no clue why he was going through them. This means that we humans do not have the ability to understand what goes on in our lives, whether bad or good circumstances.

How did CIE help you form personal connections on campus?

CIE class discussion taught me to be out spoken and say anything about how I feel about things in class. I strongly recommend every student should participate in class discussions because it reveals their opinions about things which happens to be interesting and very important to the class discussion.

How did CIE change or challenge your view on something?

Personally, my CIE course became very interesting to me when I took a different approach about things and made connections with other people’s thought and contribute to class discussion which challenged my views on things.

What do you think prospective students should know about CIE?

The main idea of this course is to have students think critically, outside the box and relate the three questions to present situations or past events.
