Impact of Ursinus

Ursinus gave me a broad scientific and liberal arts background which allowed me to pursue career opportunities in the science and environmental, health, safety and sustainability fields.  My long term career with Rohm and Haas Company (29 years) and now the Dow Chemical Company (since 2009) was due to being hired by Dr. Guenter Ackermann, who was also an Ursinus alumni.

Piece of Advice

The job market is very different today. Networking, building a resume and pursuing internships and externships are more important than ever. Gain practical experience in the workplace where ever you can. Business is looking for talent who can work collaboratively across regions and cultures, is innovative, customer driven and has the technical competencies to succeed.

Paying It Forward

While my career is in a relatively specific field, I am open to mentoring interested students should they be interested.
