Why did you decide to become a language major?

I have been taking Spanish classes since I was in 6th grade. Languages always fascinated me. In addition, I wanted to become bilingual. I am an aspiring physician who wishes to offer future services in Spanish, as well as English. Becoming a language major has helped me to learn more of the language, as well as the cultures who speak Spanish.

What has been your most rewarding experience in your language major so far?

My study abroad experience in Fall 2014 is by far the most rewarding experience. I am learning so much in Alicante, Spain, and it has become my second home.

What are your plans after Ursinus?

I just submitted my applications to medical schools. I hope to matriculate into a medical school for Fall 2015. From there, I will fulfill my dream of becoming a physician. In addition to practicing medicine in the US, I’d like to return to Spain to do the same.
