Quest KickOff students will spend 3 full days with their Common Intellectual Experience I (CIE 100) classmates getting to know one another, discussing assigned texts, and engaging in meaningful discussions about matters of pressing importance to the world today. Given the early start, students who participate in the Quest KickOff will complete CIE 100 by Thanksgiving, allowing them to focus on their other 3 Ursinus classes for the remaining few weeks of the semester.
The W.R. Crigler Program for Student Success, named for Ursinus’ first African American graduate in 1956, offers a four credit course during the summer and one credit practicum in the fall of the first semester for first-year students. In addition to the coursework, students will be given the opportunity to participate in a community service project, connect with Ursinus alumni, and attend leadership workshops.
