The Faculty Staff Dining Room will be reserved on Wednesday evenings for community groups to meet free of charge. The expectation is that any event held in the space would be open to all members of the community-at-large and to the campus community.

Timing

The venue will be open Wednesday from 5:30 to 9:30 pm.

Registration

Groups who would like to plan a meeting or event on campus can register using this web form.  Once onsite, guests will be asked to sign a one-time release waiver.

Scheduling

Community organizations can book one of two time slots - from 5:30 to 7:30 pm or from 7:30 to 9:30 pm. Space can be reserved one month in advance.

Safety/Parking

Guests should park in the West Lot off of 9th Avenue. In the event of an emergency, contact Campus Safety at 610-409-3333.

Dining

Community members are welcome to purchase dinner from Wismer dining hall. Guests are expected to clear their dishes and deliver them to the dish washing station in Wismer Hall. 

Groups who reserve the space agree to leave the space as they find it and to make sure that all dishes from dining services are bussed before the dining room closes at 9 pm.

Technical Support

Technical Support is not regularly available in the venue, however the College may be able to accommodate requests for a monitor or microphone to be provided for presentations if they are made 2 weeks in advance and staff is available to assist. The cost for technical support (billed to the group that requests the technical support) is $20 per hour.

Rights and Responsibilities of the College

  • An assigned College representative will meet the group organizer at the start of the meeting. 
  • The College will open doors to the venue and make sure it is cleaned and lights are on and a podium is provided.
  • Will place signs on pathways directing guests to the Faculty Staff Dining Room.
  • Will maintain a calendar of scheduled community meetings.
  • Reserves the right for its employees and students to attend and participate in all meetings on school property.
  • Reserves the right to deny a reservation to an individual or group or to cancel Community Night in the unexpected event that a proposed meeting or topic conflicts with College mission or goals.
  • Prohibits the use of the Community Night Space for fundraising, canvasing, soliciting or the use of the Community Night facility by any for-profit organization or related organization for solicitation or canvassing purposes.
