Along with Facilities and Campus Safety, our office works to educate and train the campus community to minimize the risk of fire and injury in the event of a fire.
College buildings are equipped with fire alarm systems, smoke/heat detectors, and fire extinguishers. In addition, all residence halls are equipped with automatic sprinkler systems. Employees and students should become familiar with emergency procedures outlined in the College’s Academic Building Evacuation Plan.
Evacuation drills are held bi-annually in all buildings. Students should be aware of the designated assembly areas for the residence halls.
