Incoming Students
Welcome to Ursinus! We look forward to working with you over the next four years. We are here to assist you with making a smooth transition to our Community.
Pre-Arrival
The summer before your arrival, International Student Ambassadors (ISA) will contact you to discuss your estimated time of arrival so they can pick you up at the airport. International Student Ambassadors (ISA) are Ursinus students appointed by the Center for International Programs to facilitate all transportation needs upon arrival, and help coordinate aspects of living arrangements and other necessities. They will also be in touch with you throughout the year to make sure you are assimilating into the American culture and to host American-International events.
Support On Arrival
Once you land in America, you will be picked up and taken care of by the International Student Ambassadors.
Upon arriving to campus, the International Student Ambassadors will assist you with getting your room key, laptop and your Ursinus Identification card. If you need to go to the local department store to pick up any necessary items (bedding, toiletries, food, etc…), they will help with that as well. You will be arriving a few days before the rest of the students, so it will give you extra time to settle and get used to the campus.
Once all international students have arrived and are settled, Orientation will begin. The International Student Ambassadors will give you a complete tour of the college to show you the academic buildings, the dining hall, and the fitness center. Following Orientation, the International Student Ambassadors will assist with any last minute details for students, and you will begin your First-Year Orientation when the rest of the freshman class arrives. This gives you a chance to intermingle with your fellow peers, and begin your journey at Ursinus. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, do not hesitate to contact either the ISA or the Student Ambassadors.
