Classes and Assessments

As an educational institution, Ursinus College provides opportunities for students who violate policy related to alcohol or drugs to learn as much as they can about the impact of their choices in order to make informed, responsible choices in the future.

Alcohol’s Impact Class

This one-hour course is offered to students who violated the alcohol policy to reflect on what matters to them and the impact of alcohol on themselves, their peers, and their community.  To register for the class, complete the registration in the link below. There are 10 anonymous pre-test questions included in the registration process to help the facilitator prepare for the class.

Influence of Marijuana Class

This one-hour course is offered to students who violated the drug policy to reflect on what matters to them and how marijuana has already or could impact their life in the future. To register for the class, complete the registration link below. There are 8 anonymous pre-test questions included in the registration process to help the facilitator prepare for the class.

Creating a Culture of Care during CoVid Class

“How should we live together?” has a whole new meaning during CoVid. This 60 minute class reviews how CoVid spreads and the ways we can work together to reduce the spread to keep our community safe. Specific intervention skills are reviewed to help students learn how to Be the Solution and serve their community as a leader and an active bystander.

New Member Education Training Session

All members of Greek Life are required to attend a training session with Prevention and Advocacy to learn about health and wellness topics pertinent for the Greek Life population during the New Member Education period.  The 60-min training session will review values of the Greek Life organizations on campus and how students live out those values in social settings.  The session will be engaging and interactive so come ready to dialogue with your fellow Greek Lifers about what matters to you!

Online Assessments for Alcohol or Marijuana

Sanctioned Requirement: If you are completing either assessments below for a requirement as part of your sanction for policy violations, please be sure to write down the User ID number given at the beginning of the assessment and print/screen shot that last page which shows a completion certificate. This will serve as proof of completion as the assessment is anonymous and confidential.

Athletic Team Requirement: If you are completing the alcohol or marijuana online assessment as part of a requirement for a team meeting with the Director, Katie Bean, please be sure to know your “presentation number” before beginning. It will be in the emailed instructions from your coach. The assessment is anonymous and confidential so you will need to put in the correct “presentation number” in order for your team to hit that 100% requirement for your team session.
