Hillel
Ursinus Hillel is the center for Jewish student activities on campus.
In our cozy house with a fully-equipped kosher-style kitchen, we gather weekly to cook and celebrate Shabbat dinner, monthly for a Sunday Bagel Brunch, and for all the Jewish holidays. We bring speakers on a variety of topics, sponsor cultural trips to Philadelphia and New York, and learn about Jewish topics every other week during lunch at Wismer. If you have a Judaism-related event that you want to see happen on campus, or if you just want to learn more about the Jewish religion, Hillel is the place to be. We welcome students of all backgrounds, Jewish or otherwise.
What we coordinate:
- Shabbat dinner
- Monthly Sunday Bagel Brunch
- Celebration of Jewish holidays
- Hosts guest speakers
- Weekly study of Torah
- Bet Cafe (coffeehouse fundraiser)
- Engagement with Israel
Everyone is welcome to all events, regardless of background. For questions or to RSVP to an event, contact Hillel at hillel@ursinus.edu. You can also contact Bekah Starr, Jewish Life Coordinator, or Dr. Rosa Abrahams, Jewish Ritual Leader, with their contact information below.
