Newman Society

A Newman Apostolate, a Catholic organization that assists students, faculty, and staff to integrate their interior and intellectual lives with their religious faith and values.

Holy Mass is celebrated locally at St. Eleanor’s Parish at the corner of 6th and Locust each Sunday during the semester. The Sacrament of Confession is celebrated on Saturday mornings and afternoons.

The Newman Society meetings are usually held on Thursday evenings at 9pm in Bomberger Meditation Chapel. However, due to COVID, we will be holding them at St. Eleanor Parish. The transportation to and from the meetings will be coordinated.

What we coordinate:

  • Weekly walks to Mass and Confession
  • Pastoral Counseling
  • Weekly Bible studies and lunches
  • Travel arrangements to local events
