Fall 2020 Closing Information
Residence Hall Closing
The residence halls close for Winter Break on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 5pm. Students must to vacate campus housing 24 hours after their last final exam or by 5PM on November 25, whichever comes first. Students who are unable to arrange transportation to leave campus by 5PM can wait with their belongings in the Wismer Lower Lounge until 8PM. Any student found on campus without permission after the halls close will be required to leave campus immediately and may be subject to disciplinary action.
Over break, the halls will not be open to procure personal belongings. The College is not responsible for personal possessions. Items of value should be taken home.
As announced in President Blomberg’s communication about the Spring semester, Ursinus plans to resume classes for the Spring semester as originally scheduled. With this in mind, we do not need students to vacate their rooms at this time. We would only need to reevaluate this decision if there are drastic changes with the pandemic in the coming weeks.
RAs will hold closing meetings between Saturday, November 14-Wednesday, November 18. Please look for an announcement from your RA for that meeting and for more information about closing.
The residence halls will reopen on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 10AM.
Shuttle Service Information
For shuttle services to the Philadelphia Airport, please call the Collegeville Marriot at 215-616-5370 to make arrangements. The shuttle runs from 5AM-5PM and you need to give the Marriott 24-48 hours’ notice, so you must call in advance to get a reservation. If you do not have transportation to the Collegeville Marriott to get the shuttle, Campus Safety can order you a Lyft to the Marriott and can be reached by calling 610-409-3333. Please allow for extra travel time between Ursinus and the Marriott as well as the Marriott and the airport.
