Financial Aid & Scholarships

Ursinus College is committed to making a private education possible through generous merit and need-based aid, in fact, 99% of our students receive financial aid, merit and need-based scholarships.

A Helping Hand

Approximately 99 percent of all Ursinus students receive some form of assistance. For 2022-2023 Ursinus administered over $76 million in financial aid—over $54.6 million in the form of institutional scholarships and grants that do not have to be repaid. The funding for our institutional scholarships are partially underwritten by generous Ursinus alumni, friends, foundations, and corporations. Thousands of supporters are stepping up each year to help you afford Ursinus.

How to Apply

Prospective freshman can apply for need-based financial aid by completing the 2024-2025 FAFSA.  Students can apply for admission prior to completing the FAFSA.  If you do not intend to apply for need-based financial aid, you do not need to complete a FAFSA and will only need to apply for admission to the college.

Financial Aid Estimates

Ursinus College knows that this can be a stressful time, so the Student Financial Services Office is here to support you and your family.

Due to the delays in the 2024-2025 FAFSA availability and processing by the Department of Education, we will provide admitted students with the opportunity to receive an estimated need-based financial aid offer letter. Please note that your official financial aid award letter will be mailed to you once Ursinus College has received your FAFSA data from the Department of Education, which is scheduled for mid-March. For admitted students who provide the SAI from their FAFSA submission, Ursinus will guarantee all institutional gift aid.

You will receive an estimated financial aid offer letter within 2 weeks of your submission.

As always, feel free to reach out to our office with any questions by emailing financialaid@ursinus.edu or calling 610-409-3600. We look forward to working with you!

Please upload a PDF copy of your FAFSA confirmation email, including your SAI (Student Aid Index) here.

Returning students must complete the FAFSA and submit all verification paperwork by April 1 each year. See the returning student financial aid checklist.
