Ursinus Offers Merit Scholarships
Merit scholarships are awarded by the Office of Admission to full-time students on the basis of academic achievements and leadership potential.
All domestic applicants to the college are considered for any eligible scholarships. Students awarded Ursinus College scholarships must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 to be eligible for renewal. Application deadline: Students may apply under our Early Action, Early Decision or Regular Decision deadlines.
*Scholarships are awarded at the time of your admission to the college and will not be impacted by any changes made after you are enrolled as a student unless renewal requirements are not met.
Our Merit Scholarships
When you apply to Ursinus as a first-year student, you are automatically considered for the following scholarships.
Zacharias Honors Scholarship: $40,000/year
Our highest recognition for academic achievement and leadership, valued at $40,000/year for resident students.
Ursinus Gateway Scholarship: $35,000/year
Students submitting test scores of 1300 SAT or 28 ACT, and have a 3.2 unweighted GPA or higher will be considered for Gateway. Students not submitting test scores who have a 3.5 unweighted GPA or higher will be considered for Gateway.
Ursinus Scholarship: up to $30,000/year
All students are eligible to receive up to $30,000/year.
Founders Award: $3,000/year
Students residing within 50 miles of campus are eligible to receive a $3,000 Founders Award from the college, in addition to their Ursinus Scholarship (up to $30,000 per year). Please note that students who receive our Zacharias Honors Scholars Award, Gateway Scholarship, Reverend Charles Rice Memorial Scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, Tuition Exchange, or Tuition Remission are ineligible for this award. This award is for resident students.
Alumni Referral Scholarship: $500 one-time award
Prospective first-year and transfer students officially referred to Ursinus College by alumni through the Alumni Referral Program are eligible for this award.
