Connection to Academics
This spring break, Ursinus students put their time to good use. Rev. Rice’s Religion and The Civil Rights Movement class gutted a house in Mississippi and connected with key civil rights workers from the past and today.
Connection to Inner Calling
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship performed much-needed work for UrbanPromise Ministries, which operates K-12 schools and summer camps in Camden, NJ.
Connection to the U.S. Community
The following students built houses with the Lynchburg, VA Habitat for Humanity: Devin Henry, Richard Werkmeister, Elizabeth Wallace, Ryann Burke, Emily Manns, Holly Brizell, Taylor Sparks, Michelle Tetla, Jenna Poligo, Marissa Fontana, Allison Injaian, Allison Colsey, Meghan Rishel, Aaron Leitner, Lauren Myers, Kristen Stapler, Jessica Bryant, and Trevor Thomas.
Connection to the Global Community
The Ursinus Bonner Leaders went to Jamaica to build houses, paint schools, and help out with school programs. Participating were Josh Picard, Val Alonso, Kyle Shelton, Melissa Rutkowski, Dana Schirk, Gerald Glover, Arielle Ross, Amanda Finch, Maire Moriarty, Liam Marston, and Maddie McEvily. Thanks to all of the students who gave their time and energy to make a difference in the local and international communities!
