  • Stress Management Workshop

The Wellness Center is starting a therapy group entitled ‘Distress Tolerance’. We are looking to provide interested students with a workshop that consists of 4 one-hour-long sessions. The objective of these four workshop sessions is to create a safe space in which students can learn and develop stress management and resilience strategies for navigating current stressors.

This group is a good fit for students who experience difficulty with overwhelming anxiety, emotions, and other forms of psychological discomfort.

Group members are encouraged to participate in all four sessions but are allowed to drop in and out as necessary.

Topics we intend to cover are outlined below:

    • WEEK ONE: Defining Distress Tolerance
    • WEEK TWO: Creating a Relaxation Plan
    • WEEK THREE: Radical Acceptance
    • WEEK FOUR: Improving the Moment

We are hoping to hold our first meeting within the week of October 22.  Specific start dates and times are pending and dependent on availability and level of interest from students. Should you have further questions or an interest in clarifying the above information, please contact The Wellness Center at / 610-409-3100.
