Medical Services

The Wellness Center provides an array of medical services to students.

These services are covered under the Wellness Center Fee. An asterisk indicates an additional charge may apply or referral to another facility may be necessary.

Men’s Health

The Wellness Center focuses on issues that are specific to male students or students identifying as men. Services such as STI testing and treatment, erectile dysfunction issues and other medical needs are available.

Women’s Health

The Wellness Center provides a range of services, including but not limited to gynecological care, contraception counseling and prescriptions, and STI testing and treatment.

LGBTQ Health

The Wellness Center provides a confidential and inclusive environment for students seeking care. Services include, but are not limited to STI testing and treatment, hormone therapy monitoring and injection administration, support groups and counseling referrals if necessary.

Gynecological Care

Practitioners can diagnose and treat acute gynecological issues that affect college students. Annual preventative care is not offered through the Wellness Center, but referrals to local GYN locations are available so that students can access continuous treatment and care.

Contraception Counseling and Prescriptions

Practitioners are available to discuss contraceptive methods and provide necessary referrals for methods not available through the Wellness Center. Currently the contraceptive pill, patch and ring are prescribed through the Wellness Center. Free male condoms and dental dams are available in the waiting area of the Wellness Center. Free female condoms will be available soon in the waiting area.

Emergency Contraception (E-Contra)

Students can purchase emergency contraception from the Wellness Center without making an appointment. Cost is $20.00 cash or check.

Pregnancy Testing

Free confidential urine testing is done on site at the Wellness Center. In the event that a student is pregnant, counseling is provided with referrals by the provider.

Referrals

Contact information for various specialists in the Collegeville, Pottstown and Phoenixville area are available on site.

Billing

The Wellness Center does not bill insurance companies. Should a student incur a bill for services at the Wellness Center (lab costs, prescription medications), the student is responsible for paying the bill.
