STD Testing

Confidential STI testing is available through the Wellness Center Monday through Friday by appointment. Test specimens are sent to participating Quest and LabCorp Laboratories. Cost of testing will be billed through the student’s insurance by these laboratories which may result in additional fees. It is the student’s responsibility to verify if STI testing is covered under their insurance plan prior to the request for testing.

Confidential STI testing is also offered through the Wellness Center from  Medical Diagnostic Laboratories L.L.C which allows students to pay directly without using their insurance.

6 screening tests are offered for a fee of $80.00 (check/ credit card/money order only)

Test includes:

Chlamydia                          Ureaplasma urealyticum

Gonorrhea                          Mycoplasma genitalium

Trichomonas                       Mycoplasma hominis

2 screening tests are offered for a fee of $20.00 (cash/check only)

Test includes:

Chlamydia                         Gonorrhea    

***Additional STI testing is available for Human Papilloma (HPV), Hepatitis B, Syphillis, HSV 1 & 2 (Herpes) and HIV/AIDS, but can only be billed through the student’s insurance.

Free or low cost confidential STI testing are also available to students from the list below.

Vaccine needs vary considerably from country to country. It is important to realize that diseases such as diphtheria and poliomyelitis, which no longer occur in most industrialized countries, may be present in those visited by travelers. Travel Medicine Clinics are located throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Many of the sites only accept cash payment for the vaccines.
