The Reimagine Project History
Under the leadership of local community members who cared about preserving nearby natural habitats and guidance of the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania, the Reimagine Project was first established in Beaver County, PA in 2017. Since the beginning of the Beaver County Reimagine Project, several other projects have begun in other regions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The Reimagine Project is inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, so the definition of sustainability in the eyes of Reimagine Project members is broad and all-encompassing. Reimagine Ursinus-Collegeville is the 9th Reimagine Project established in Pennsylvania and began on April 20th, 2022, in celebration of Earth Day with the inaugural Reimagine Ursinus-Collegeville visioning session. During this event, community members from across the borough and college assembled to discuss the future of sustainability in Collegeville and developed multiple ideas to combat climate change and its consequences on a local level. Reimagine Ursinus-Collegeville is a collaboration between Collegeville residents, Ursinus College students, faculty, and staff, and Collegeville leadership. All residents and community members with a passion to make Collegeville a more healthy and sustainable place to live are welcome to join and begin shaping the direction of our future together!

A future with a cleaner environment and jobs that don’t ruin our environment.
