  • <div class="lw_blurbs_title">37</div><div class="lw_blurbs_body"><p> The Palestra, the historic home of University of Pennsylvania basketball, welcomed the Ursinus men’s basketball team. Steve Donahue ’84, in UC’s first championship tournament (1981), is Penn’s head coach and invited his Division III alma mater to play the Division I Quakers. The Bears held their own, but lost 73-66. Melrose Jr. ’66 (posthumously) were recognized for their career achievements and service during Alumni Weekend. Ghadir Ishqaidef ’05 was named a “rising star.” Dominique M. Saturno ’16 and Edward J. In NCAA tournament play, the Bears beat Stevens and Rochester, but lost to No. 1 Bowdoin in the national semifinal game.
